You will be our guests at the
centre for during your stay. Although only 20 minutes south of Avignon,
the region's cultural capital, the centre itself is a former farm in the
countryside, surrounded by vines and olive trees.
The house is an ideal base for walks on public footpaths. There is a
beautiful 45 minute circuit passing vineyards, olive trees and a horse
paddock, offering wonderful views of Les Allpilles and Le Luberon. Many
participants also like to walk to the nearby village of Eyragues (3 kms
away), which has several cafés and basic amenities. The region around
the house can also be explored by bicycle.

Provençal colours give the
house a warm and cosy atmosphere. The
bedrooms are spacious and
comfortable with private bathrooms. There is a participant's lounge,
containing information about the region. It is a place to relax and read
a book or enjoy a conversation with other participants or guests (in
French of course!)

Before becoming a French teacher, Magali was also a
qualified dietician. She has a great interest in food and combines
traditional recipes from her family with her own innovations. Lunch and
dinner are taken together and are relaxing opportunities to talk and try
Provençal cuisine.
Our dishes are homemade by Magali and her family using ingredients
from organic farms and local small-scale producers. They are garnished
with Provençal herbs from our garden. We are situated in the Rhone
valley where the river Durance joins the river Rhone. The combination of
sun and water makes it the centre of fruit and vegetables in France

Meals are taken with wine from the region: Côtes du Rhône, Côtes
du Ventoux and Côtes du Luberon. You can also try the wine from the
vineyards nearby the house which the local people are very proud of: vin
de la petite Crau. Eating is a pleasure in Provence and the
Mediterranean diet ensures that you can enjoy tasty cuisine without
putting on weight!
|
The dishes depend on the season, but during your stay you
will be able to try some of the region's specialities: les Beignets de
Fleurs de Courgettes, la Daube Provençale, la Ratatouille maison, les
Tomates à la provençale, Le Tian d'aubergines au fromage de brebis and
la Soupe au Pistou.
Dinner is often taken with guests and starts with a typical Provençal
'apéritif.
